Accounting Specialist / HR Specialist- WFS Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounting functions such as accounts receivables and payable, payroll and report preparation.
  • Maintains controls and records of financial transactions. May specialize in some phase of accounting work such as federal funds, account, pay roll, etc.
  • Complex data entry work involving cost accounting procedures, correcting/adjusting and closing of journal entries.
  • May audit operating reports, vouchers, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and similar statements.
  • Responsible for processing of accounts payable and scanning of A/P, A/R, and month end close information.
  • Will assist finance staff in gathering information and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • Responsible for review and upload of expense entries during month end close.

  • Printing onboarding documents
  • Changing applicants status
  • Dispositioning applicants
  • Pulling training reports
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Financials or other accounting software a plus.
  • 1 year of full time experience in accounting principles, practices, and procedures required. 

Additional Information

As a Program Assistant, you will perform a wide range of administrative HR and Accounting duties at your assigned Project site. This will cover all aspects of the HR function, including file maintenance, processing corrective action, coordinating orientation/training, onboarding document processing, employee data entry and RPM input/tracking. The position also provides support to the Project through assistance with all aspects of financial accounting and administrative record keeping while providing the highest level of customer service to all employees, participants and visitors. • Providing administrative support in the areas of employee recruitment, hiring, retention, and evaluation • Processing, verifying, and maintaining documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications ***Part-time position at 20 hours weekly***
