As a(n) Adjudication Specialist you will: 

The Adjudication Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper completion of background checks by reviewing the results and of all aspects of the report. This position is accountable for working within guidelines as well as the Federal Fair Credit Report Act’s (FCRA) and state requirements to provide high quality results on background check reports with minimal turnaround time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and prompt turnaround on all adjudication results
  • Provide timely follow-up and follow-through on all applicable questions and/or concerns stemming from an adjudication result
  • Learn basic aspects of all background screening processes, including, but not limited to, criminal searches, employment and education verification, drug testing, adjudication, etc.
  • Manually process incoming results from designated queue by accurately input notes/comments when determining the adjudication result on an applicant
  • Assist in solidifying process and identifying areas of improvement
  • Provide progress reports to Management and reports as needed

Position Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred
  • Prior criminal research, adjudication and/or quality experience a plus
  • Familiarity with FCRA and state compliance preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under constant deadlines, organize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated with great attention to detail
  • Team oriented attitude
