Administrative Assistant/ LaJet Program Aide Responsibilities
  • This position provides administrative and clerical support in a variety of areas including copying, filing, reception, record keeping, data entry and routine correspondence and reports.

Specific Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 to 3 years experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Manager.

The Administrative Assistance must be able to perform in a fast past environment with multiple priorities. This position requires superior organization skills, the ability to work with diverse individuals both within the company and with partners in the project.

The incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and have the ability to compile summary reports and possess the ability to use general office equipment.

The incumbent must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must be able to handle sensitive material and  maintain confidentiality.

Additional Information

Key Areas of Responsibilities Provides administrative support to the facilitator  Assist with the facilitation of the job readiness sessions Ensure that on-site recruitment information is posted in classroom and announced to participants Conduct participant follow-up calls related to job placement Responsible for the input of participant activity electronically and appropriate submission of participant information Provide job search preparation and assistance Refer candidates to appropriate JOB1 recruitment staff for placement Conduct participant pre and post job readiness assessments Perform additional duties as assignedSkills and Abilities:  Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people. Demonstrated customer service skills. Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, all personnel. Must support the mission of ResCare Workforce Services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work occasionally long or extended hours, including weekends. Must maintain the confidentiality of all information housed in the division.
