As a(n) Business Services Manager you will: 

The Business Solutions Consultant Manager is responsible for outreach and marketing for the funder and ResCare to employers and convincing them to use our candidates, screening, placement, retention and value ad services to meet their hiring needs.

The Business Solutions Consultant Manager will focus on developing relationships with employer’s size, location and industry sector throughout (Area). The majority of recruitment efforts should take place in key industries (List key industries such as healthcare, logistics/distribution, industrial construction, energy (green jobs) and advance manufacturing). The Business Solutions Consultant Manager does not meet directly with jobseekers; their time will be divided between managing the day to day operations of the business relations unit, coordinating with the workforce solutions system where job seekers are matched to jobs opening, and relationship building throughout the community.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Solutions Manager or Specialist to increase quality of job orders through strategic marketing and business development activities
  • Work with Business Solution Consultant to ensure quality job matching of system clients to employment opportunities
  • Communicate all hiring needs to funding source
  • Represent system at all business services related functions/activities
  • Participate in new projects by funding source
  • Manage recruitment events/efforts for the all special initiatives
  • Work with employers to develop recruitment flow that separate our clients from the average “off the street” job seeker
  • Review working lists of employers as well as the business activity for each Business Solutions Consultant on a bi-weekly basis to maintain and improve business relationships
  • Identify when/where new outreach/marketing initiative are needed, communicate design needs to the business services team and funding source
  • Participate in citywide job fairs and other business community events

Position Requirements

  • Ability to maintain unit and individual goals based on contractual requirements
  • Demonstrated customer service leadership skills
  • Understanding of recruitment, placement and employment policies and procedures
  • Meticulous documentation/reporting skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Public speaking expertise
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends
  • Knowledge of programs related to this position such as TANF Choices, SNAP and related subsidized employment, incumbent worker, skills development, and employer incentives is a plus
  • Knowledge of system of record is a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university, or at least 10 years of directly related work experience, or equivalent combinations thereof

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5-7 years of B2B sales experience
  • Minimum 4 year college degree in related field
  • Solid communication (written and verbal) and organization skills
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, economic development fundamentals and business location factors
  • Experience marketing company services to employers
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects with competing deadlines
  • Experience operating with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Word and Excel for reporting purposes

Physical Requirements:

  • May sit and/or stand for extend period of time.  May lift or carry up to 10 pounds of paper or printed material.
