Community Relations Manager-Pediatric Responsibilities

Promotes the qualities, values and advantages of company’s facility and non-facility based neurological treatment programs to customers including pediatric special interest groups, school district special education leadership, payers, families and physicians.  Develops positive relationships with referral sources and implements creative marketing applications which generate referrals.  Works under general supervision.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Abides by and demonstrates the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develops/implements account specific marketing approaches for each referral source.  Observes/documents sales trends and competitors’ activities, and evaluates market conditions
  • Identifies/prioritizes high priority accounts and with the Executive Director, prepares annual sales/marketing plans.  Implements approved plans and evaluates/updates as indicated on a monthly basis.
  • Visits/contacts special interest groups, fundraising causes and resource events to promote Company programs.
  • Organizes/coordinates local, specialized marketing events, in conjunction with Executive Director on a monthly basis, designed to educate consumers to Company programs.
  • Attends pertinent industry trade shows/conferences to promote Company services. Prepares literature/flyers to target specific customer groups as needed.
  • Maintains database of account contacts and ensures pre-established criteria for frequency of contacts not met.
  • Regularly completes direct mailing to individuals/groups on a situational basis and general corporate direct mail campaigns.
  • Inputs/tracks account information and marketing activity and complete weekly/monthly/quarterly reports. Keeps abreast of industry trends/competitive activity and updates information as needed. Completes payer pipeline and account information projects as required.
  • Develops relationships with school and pre-school staff to promote all pediatric service lines
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • Performs referral intake as needed.

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Education or the equivalent services to children
  • A minimum of two-year’s experience in direct provision of services through program, insurance carrier, etc. or direct professional selling experience or training capacity generally required  
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and part of a team
  • Organized and able to function under minimal supervision
  • Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple locations on a daily basis
