Director of Operational Development Responsibilities

The Director of Operational Development position will work on special projects to evaluate ResCare HomeCare’s current organizational processes and practices while serving in the capacity of an Executive Director/Manager due to operational needs.   This position will strive to improve and implement changes to increase efficiency and allow us to better serve our customers.

​Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Review Operation’s performance/support needs with Executive Management
  • Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organization
  • Analyze Operations and Branch Staff for alignment with, and promotion of Rescare’s vision, mission, and values
  • Makes recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices that align with ResCare’s goals and compliance standards
  • Provide operations with leadership support and tools to meet established goals
  • Facilitates implementation of change management initiatives
  • Respond to issues of any of our operations and follow those issues through to resolution
  • Train staff on systems, standard processes, company policies and procedures
  • Provide Leadership support and guidance to operations experiencing performance issues and/or administrative vacancies by implementing standard processes to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Accountable for the quality and timeliness of projects and develop ways to improve processes and automate tasks through various forms of technology
  • Establish relationships and function as a liaison between operations and the Executive Leadership Team
  • Assist with process implementation geared to improve performance goals
  • Provide Support and Supervision to Operation’s with Branch Manager and Executive Director vacancies.

Specific Requirements

Successful candidates for the Executive Director should have the proven ability to build business and/or increase sales to meet and exceed goals.

Additional requirements of the Director of Operational Development include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field 
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience with the proven ability to effectively manage systems, processes, and people
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience with at least 5 direct reports
