As a(n) Legal Project Specialist you will: 

  • Corresponds with ResCare’s legal team and operations regarding lawsuits and records requests 
  • Oversees records and audit requests from the company’s agent for service of process
  • Coordinates record request file management and compliance
  • Researches and requests operations’ information and identifies local points of contact for internal and external record requests, lawsuits, and investigations
  • Coordinates with ResCare’s legal department regarding new notices of claims and existing/completed records requests
  • Updates the legal database with client and employee records for pending lawsuits and investigations  
  • Assists Associate General Counsel with internal investigations and ensures compliance with external regulatory requests and investigations 
  • Administrative functions including acting as the point of contact for internal and external records requests 
  • Advises operations on compliance with requirements of various records requests, including electronic records management and information transfer
  • Communicates with outside attorneys and state agencies regarding compliance 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 3-5 years work experience in fast-paced administrative roles
  • Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information and maintaining composure under stress.
