National Director of Performance Optimization Responsibilities

Working under the general direction of the VP, Service Delivery, the National Director of Performance Optimization will be responsible for the analysis, review and action planning with all RWS projects for the purpose of optimizing performance against company and contract goals and expectations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Enabling Technology, collect and review and all performance related reports, exception reports, monitoring reports and other data; 
  • Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses related to performance, adoption of RWS tools, compliance reporting and other contract specific data; 
  • Conduct regular calls with each project and region to discuss opportunities for improvement and action plans; 
  • Provide expert guidance on how to operationally address areas of weakness identified; 
  • Track progress against action plans and provide regular reports as required to executive leadership regarding such progress;
  • Engage other members of the service delivery and support teams, operational leadership and peer teams for the purpose of supporting performance and quality improvements; 
  • Identify promising/best practices and work with appropriate team members to promote adoption throughout the organization or where such practices may best fit;
  • Work closely with business development and sales to provide performance information in formats that are accurate, easily understandable and responsive to RFP’s or other opportunities promoting retention and growth of business;
  • Work closely with Enabling Technology and other operational and support team members to implement or promote activities that will enhance performance, compliance, and quality of our operations
  • Conduct ongoing review and analysis of federal and state policies and regulations, and develop or participate in teams that will development new and/or updated training materials, tool kits and standard operating procedure templates related to performance; 
  • Assist new and existing operations in identifying and tracking predictors of performance as well as the inputs and outputs required in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Follow Continuous Quality Improvement guidelines and practices to consult with and assist under-performing projects;
  • Remain highly informed in assigned areas to ensure company compliance with requirements and to promote fresh, innovative approaches to enhance RWS’ competitiveness;
  • Support efforts to retain and secure new business through participation in conferences, events, meetings, preparation of proposals and oral presentations as requested.

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human services or related field, master’s degree preferred;
  • Outstanding writing skills; proven experience in developing and communicating technical information in a manner that garners active group participation and implementation of learned skills;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in workforce development operations and oversight;
  • Experience conducting research on program policy and ability to translate to operational activities resulting in positive performance;
  • Intermediate+ computer skills with Microsoft office products and ability to quickly work within company required databases (QB experience is a plus);
  • Excellent organization and planning skills; demonstrated ability to resolve problems independently with sound judgment;
  • Current driver’s license and automobile liability insurance;
  • Ability to lead group planning and training activities for extended periods;
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel via car, plane or other appropriate modes with limited notice;
  • Bring your own device to work is required – a small stipend may be provided.
