As a(n) Operating System and Network Administrator you will: 

  • Oversees the development, testing, distribution, and maintenance of Microsoft Server operating systems and core applications.
  • Interfaces with customers and vendors to ensure standards and security are maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities.
  • Serves as a support and escalation resource for network / server outages and network / server incident remediation within client environments.
  • Configures the networking and security environment (e.g., switches, firewalls, routers, circuits, WAPs, VoIP, etc.) in accordance with established standards and client needs.
  • Installs, configures, administers, manages and maintains all routers, switches, firewalls, software and appliances, including wireless, VoIP, and other advanced environments.
  • Engineers, documents and implements DMZ, LAN, and WAN solutions for strategic application delivery.
  • Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Designs, configures, and tests networking hardware and supporting system software and performs regular maintenance, patch management, and software updates.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, or other network, server and system problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of systems administration experience required.
  • Experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory required.
  • Hands on experience supporting Windows 2008-2016 servers.
  • Working Knowledge of storage array and backup technologies.
  • Working Knowledge of Cloud / On Prem VoIP systems.
  • Working Knowledge of Office 365 and/or Sharepoint.
