Physical Therapy Aide RWW Outpatient Rehab Responsibilities
  • Transports patients to and from treatment areas as scheduled.
  • Assists with treatment as directed by therapists and discusses on a daily basis with the licenses staff the individual patient treatment strategies/goals. 
  • Assists with cleaning and maintenance of treatment and department areas.  Washes, dries and folds laundry.
  • Keeps track of inventory of the clinic supplies and assists with ordering additional supplies.
  • Assists front office with answering phones and scheduling patients.
  • Performs clerical work as directed.
  • Assists with assembling, maintaining, and submitting patient billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulations.  
  • Answers patients, visitors, and family members questions accurately and refers him/her to the appropriate party in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies,  HIPAA and Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Attends, participates in and/or conducts internal staff development programs and meetings; obtains continuing education as required by company policy and regulations

Specific Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification, in accordance state regulations
  • A minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instruction in a health care environment is preferred
  • Previous experience in patient care in a rehabilitation center is preferred.  Therapy students are considered.
  • Able to relate to and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile patients within the facility 
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
