As a(n) Product Manager, Connected Home you will: 

The BrightSpring Health Services team is seeking a Product Manager to support initiatives in the Connected Home space. The role includes two critical dimensions that help build the Connected Home ecosystem. First, this role manages the engagement process with companies that will integrate with BrightSpring systems and homes. These include device manufacturers, dealers and installers, and industry groups. Second, this role coordinates and manages activities across a variety of internal teams to define and build a great Connected Home experience for our clients.

A successful candidate will have experience working with external partners. Candidate will have strong program and product management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to new scenarios, familiarity with business and technical work streams and a record of accomplishment of delivering high quality results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create the vision and product roadmap for BrightSpring’s Connected Home platform.
  • Define and maintain product backlogs, feature intake and prioritization, stakeholder communication and project execution.
  • Create, write and review user stories and business requirements, perform supporting research and analysis, write product specifications, and drive the product development schedule from design to release.
  • Retrieve and analyze data and establish key business metrics to measure product success.
  • Manage industry relationships, including coordinating BrightSpring’s presence and participation at major industry conferences and events.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships, and understand important business drivers for customers and partners
  • Report on plans and results to senior management, and communicate frequently with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least eight years’ experience working in a technical field or technical organization in a product or program management capacity
  • At least six years’ experience leading medium-to-large projects or programs
  • Experience working with external parties such as in business development, product management or account management
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry
  • Experience with connected devices and/or cloud-based services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience working with hardware manufacturers
  • Experience working with home services providers
  • Experience in voice-powered systems, connected devices, and or Internet of Things
  • Current working knowledge of speech technologies and voice interfaces
  • Experience with vertical-specific products, leading brands, customer value propositions and product evolution
  • Bias for action, and ability to work independently toward stated goals with minimal oversight
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management both internally and externally
