As a(n) Program Director - RWS you will: 

Reports to: Project Director
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Oversees center staff and provides oversight for their performance to ensure that participants receive quality and timely services and that program objectives are met.
  • Carries a caseload and provides counseling and mentoring.
  • Delegates work and authority and assigns priorities and scheduling to meet planned objectives.
  • Presents and facilitates group job readiness, life skills, or job search training agendas.
  • Conducts group orientation for participants and provides a positive introduction to the job search and readiness program.
  • Establishes and maintains information about, and relationships with, area resources, education and training providers, and employers.
  • Arranges for employers and postsecondary institutions to speak to participants about training, education, and employment.
  • Organizes visits to postsecondary institutions.
  • Tracks and maintains employment retention goals.
  • Maintains case files in an audit-ready state and maintains log of supportive services.
  • Maintains accurate, updated information in the participant database.
  • Submits internal and customer reports, as required, and processes incoming mail and referrals.
  • Prepares summary documents for and attends appeal hearings when necessary.
  • Resolves conflicts that arise with participants.
  • Handles other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Related Associates degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, and deskwork required primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours maybe required.
