Program Manager – Rehab Without Walls Responsibilities

Works with the Executive Director in the overall management of the program, including, but not limited to developing an annual market assessment, budget, and sales business plan. Works with the Community Relations Manager (CRM), if one is assigned to the program, or works independently in sales/marketing activities by participating/making sales calls, and negotiates/establishes local contracts with referral sources. Identifies the requirements of clients, coordinates client intake/scheduling/plan development, oversees documentation, schedules/assigns care teams, conducts case conferences, participates in quality assessment/improvement activities, accounts receivable management, and staff recruitment. Works under general direction.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Abides by and demonstrates the company Mission, Vision, and Values through both behavior, and job performance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensures that potential clients are screened prior to case acceptance, oversees, and ensures documentation meets requirements for reimbursement. 
  • Oversees identification of the goals, challenges, and problem requirements of individual clients and their families.
  • Conducts meetings to ensure proper communication between caregivers, intake scheduling, and service delivery and clients. 
  • With the direction of the Executive Director, discusses operational issues, updates staff on new/changed regulations, and reviews documentation requirements, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. 
  • When a Community Relations Manager is assigned, accompanies sales/marketing staff on sales calls to provide clinical expertise as needed, or makes sales calls independently.
  • Works with the Executive Director and help to negotiate/establish local contracts with referral sources, third party payers, state/provincial/local governments, and ensure profitability and the effective servicing of all assigned contracts.
  • Participates and conducts in the absence of the CRM, local sales/marketing activities.
  • Develops along with Executive Director and Community Relations Manager, when one is assigned, sales/marketing strategies and sales presentations to ensure the growth of product line. Develops tools to support product line business.
  • Assists the Executive Director and the specialty Community Relations Manager representative (if assigned), in developing an annual market assessment, budget, and sales business plan.
  • Provides support, direction, and feedback to staff regarding compliance to regulatory requirements and company policy and procedures.
  • May conduct case conferences and surveys to ensure the quality of service.
  • Completes evaluations according to corporate policy and governmental regulations.
  • Participates in and encourages quality assessment, improvement activities, determines, and implements staff disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Directs staff recruitment and development activities, and conducts ongoing skill evaluations to ensure the quality and accuracy of their work.
  • Monitors staff and schedules, and matching staff to clients based on individual needs.
  • Directs and delegates staff assignments, assigns teams, and directs documentation activities.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations according to company policy and procedure.
  • Participates in and encourages quality assessment and improvement activities.
  • Assists the Executive Director in generating reports for regional and corporate personnel.
  • Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Specific Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation/Counseling, Education, Human Services, Allied Health Field, or significant equivalent experience plus two years in a supervisory, administrative, or sales role with a minimum of five years clinical experience in health/human services.
  • Current licensure per state requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of neurological rehabilitation techniques, community health/home healthcare supervision and governmental home health agency regulations required.
  • Excellent organization, problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
  • Successfully completes any/all required pre-employment evaluation test(s) per policy in each assigned area of practice.
  • Able to travel and has reliable transportation to travel to/from assignments and work locations.
