As a(n) QA/Foster Parent Recruiter you will: 

The QA/Foster Parent Recruiter is responsible for participating in the recruitment and approval process of potential Foster and Adoptive Families/Homes while ensuring that recruitment, screenings and assessments are being conducted appropriately and effectively in each division they assist. In addition, this position is responsible for the execution of internal/external recruitment avenues and events for solicitation, retention and appreciation as well as facilitate Agency communication. Finally, this position is responsible for the quality assurance of database entries, files, file systems, agency processes, licensing and contract requirements.

Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties

  • Coordinates foster parent recruitment activities.
  • Coordinates and monitors training of potential foster parents.
  • Assist in certification of potential foster homes.
  • Follow agency procedures to promote optimum safety practices to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for clients.
  • Provide ongoing support to foster homes for children with unique needs.
  • Attend required foster care/APTCH licensing training
  • Responsible for total quality assurance of files, programs and systems and all associated administrative duties under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Conduct agency-wide, file reviews, licensing inquiries, and investigations as assigned
  • Ensure oversight and monitoring of Best in Class process and Safety Committee review
  • Serve as the contact person and direct interface for all contract audits, site reviews and monitoring visits and conduct internal audit process in preparation for contract audits.
  • Address any problems, concerns or complaints related to quality of system delivery or agency programming.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations, minimally quarterly foster/adoptive family satisfaction surveys.
  • Conduct training for agency staff (and foster/adoptive parents, as applicable) regarding agency QA (i.e. file requirements, agency process; etc.) to ensure agency requirements and agency-wide consistence and ensure staff is in trained on required family/client file documentation
  • Develop training or materials necessary for agency regarding quality assurance and database management    
  • Ensure updated training manuals and checklists and maintain up to date information on system

Position Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social or behavioral science from an accredited university or college preferred or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years foster care /adoption experience
  • Must have the availability to work flexible hours and travel for site visits to support the needs of staff and agency
  • Must be IMPACT (Initial Interest, Mutual Selection, Pre-Service Training, Assessment, Continuing Development and Teamwork) trained
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the learning capacity to learn other applications.
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain current vehicle registration and insurance, as well as a valid driver’s license

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Must have the ability to communicate professionally (both orally and in writing) with a variety of professionals, staff, families, and individuals with special needs.
  • Must be able to be fingerprinted, and maintain any required state security clearances from the state
  • Must be able to maintain a clear record through DES Central Registry of any reports of child abuse and neglect
