QA Specialist Responsibilities
  • Responsible for total quality assurance of files, programs and systems and all associated administrative duties under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Be the contact person for the agency’s Child Placing Agency license annual renewal and conduct the annual renewal and licensing audit process in preparation for re-licensing.
  • Be the contact person and direct interface for all contract audits and conduct internal audit process in preparation for contract audit.
  • Address any problems, concerns or complaints related to quality of system delivery or agency programming.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations, minimally quarterly foster/adoptive family satisfaction surveys.
  • Compile Quarterly Report for the Executive Director for quarterly QA reporting.
  • Conduct training for agency staff (and foster/adoptive parents, as applicable) regarding agency QA (i.e. file requirements, agency process; etc.) to ensure agency requirements and agency-wide consistency.
  • Develop training or materials necessary for agency regarding quality assurance.  
  • Maintain up to date information on system changes and updates.
  • Provide technical assistance on data errors and solutions to system issues. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Requirements

  • Prefer a Master’s degree in social or behavioral science from an accredited university or college or a Bachelor Degree with foster care /adoption experience.
  • Experience with the foster care system.
  • Must attend required licensing training.
  • Able to maintain a clear record through DES Central Registry of any reports of child abuse and neglect.

Listens to others and responds appropriately.Works well in independent project development and adapts easily to multiple projects, assignments, and deadlinesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in human services or behavioral science from an accredited college/university and two years of related experience OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to five (5) years of work experience in a similar position to a Quality Assurance Specialist Work Location subject to change as more locations are established in the Houston Metro Area
