Staff Accountant Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for a Staff Accountant (Workforce Services Division).

The Staff Accountant supports the Business Managers, Directors of Revenue and Operations Officers and assists with:

Journal entries

Accounts Receivables and follow up

Invoicing

Cash equivalent tracking and auditing

Customer training account tracking and oversight

Indirect rate tracking and analysis

Specific Requirements

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field

5+ years experience in a corporate Accounting role with responsibility in all areas noted above

Additional Information

• Oversees the proper coding, documentation, and recording of accounts payable.• Supervises accounts payable staff and payroll• Prepare and analyze monthly reports• Assist and close process and financial review• Manage payroll• Oversee receipt of P-Cards• Manage accounts receivable and billing as well as accounts payable direct and pass thru payments and activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice• Supervise financial/accounting staff• Plan activities to meet project deadlines• Oversee Payroll processing, accounts payable process, cash equivalents for transportation• Manage and track expected cost for project training for participants• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs• Allocations/Reconciliation for PCards for the Project such as supportive services, supplies, and transportation• Troubleshoot invoices and handles discrepancy with cash equivalence for auditing purposes• Manages and distributes Employee Expense reimbursements and mileage• Gather monthly reports that includes functions payroll, accounts payable, cash equivalents, local checking account• Maintaining records, reports, approvals and financial documents • Calculate incentives and key them through ADP for accurate payout• Other duties as assigned
