As a(n) Trainee Support Director you will: 

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of all learning programs and ensure a standardized learning curriculum across all lines of business
  • Knowing the needs of all operations and ensuring training decisions are made in the best interests of our operations
  • Leading our training design team in the development of high-impact company-specific learning courses
  • Partnering with leadership to ensure that all training meets our company
  • Best-in-Class and regulatory standards
  • Owning any modifications to technical, clinical, and skilled training courses
  • Staying current with industry/sector trends and best practices
  • Working with operational leadership to ensure training execution
  • Ensuring that our Human Resources function is fully aligned with operations on our various field-focused initiatives
  • Works collaboratively with all lines of business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum four years demonstrated success with increasing responsibility and various assignments in learning and development: program management, instructional design, training delivery, performance improvement, leadership development.
  • Position requires people management responsibility.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership is required.
  • Change management and team development required.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Preferred: Healthcare training development experience.

Additional Information

• Ensures adequate instructional programming and professional level instruction is given to trainees in mathematics, reading, workplace communication, wellness, GED, diversity, Drivers Education, and all vocational areas. • Observes classes and monitors effectiveness of classroom management.(1 formal Education and 1 formal CTT class observation per month) • Provides direction for applied academics • Directs all phases of CDSS System. • Submits required reports outlining progress, problems, and contemplated changes in the Education, Vocation and CDSS departments. • Meets weekly with education and vocation managers to plan strategies for improvement. • Coordinates development of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and center Career Development Services System Plan.• Counsels trainees as appropriate. • Regularly spot-checks classes. • Communicates with and visits parents and local agencies as needed. • Assists BCL in development of community relationships, as needed. • Reviews Center/OMS reports and reconciles appropriately. Develops corrective action plans as needed. • Reviews attendance sheets for accuracy of documentation. Decrease number unexcused absence 3-5% per quarter from previous PY. • Makes Case Notes in CIS when situation warrants. Monitors weekly ResCare reports and develops corrective action plans, as needed. • Notifies CD of apparent deficiencies• Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONQualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
