About this Line of Business

The Wellness, Comprehensive Assessment, Rehabilitation and Employment (WeCARE) Program provides a continuum of integrated services that evaluate the abilities and address the needs of Cash Assistance (CA) clients with medical and/or mental health condition(s) that may affect their employability. Clinical assessment processes determine clients’ functional capacity outcomes and ability to achieve the goals of wellness and employment or to apply for and receive federal disability benefits.

The WeCARE program has been successful in assisting thousands of New York City clients with clinical barriers achieve self-sufficiency. ResCare Workforce Services is a funded provider for WeCARE services through the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA).

As a(n) Trainer - WeCARE you will: 

  • Oversees all aspects of the WeCARE staff training programs, including leading development and administration of comprehensive training plans 
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the provision of all training activities in alignment with RWS, HRA and other requirements 
  • Ensures staff training fulfills company and contract organizational development needs, objectives, and relevant compliance issues; defines staff development objectives and creates training plans to meet goals
  • May develop curricula in alignment with program requirements; design and implement didactic training and development programs, and/or identifies external training curricula based on staff needs; designs and/or prepare training/instructional materials, teaching aids, and devices
  • Manages and identifies priorities for the project’s training budget
  • Evaluates the success of training and development programs; amends and revises programs, as necessary, to ensure quality goals are met
  • Maintains records of all training outcomes, certifications, and credentials
  • Develops and maintains a training reference library and ensures employees are aware of materials available for their use
  • Understand the certification, credential and other professional requirements for all positions and ensures staff have and maintain appropriate credentials
  • Monitors for timely completion of all required training and generates reports of staff compliance with requirements
  • Collects and maintains documentation of credentials and training; ensures they are timely submitted to HRA using established data systems

Position Requirements

  • Related Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in staff and/or organizational development and training and public speaking, or four years professional experience in training and public speaking for a diverse audience
  • Must possess excellent computer skills, including but not limited to, experience with creating and maintain training databases, PowerPoint, Prezi, and other presentation platforms  
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written skills. 
  • Must possess the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with customers, team members, and leadership

Additional Information

Position(s) available in Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
