Trust Fund Manager Responsibilities

Manage the daily, weekly and monthly Trust Fund Management functions of the ResCare client base through supervision of both on site and remotely located teams of Trust Fund Coordinators and Trust Fund Coordinator Assistants.  Develop an escheatable process when personal property or funds have been abandon or unclaimed after a period specified by state laws.  Develop audit methods and procedures of account functions to improve efficiency.  Reports to a director.  Manages subordinate staff in the day to day performance of their jobs.  

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Accomplish department objectives by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work process.
  • Communicate any issues and problems related to Trust Fund Management accounts to the Director.
  • Notify management of problems and issues with the department as they arise.
  • Offer plans for corrective action and solutions.
  • Improve processes with department emphasizing quality and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing solutions.
  • Oversee the training of new staff and assign roles for team members based upon his/her expertise.
  • Provide technical support of all systems to Coordinators and Assistants.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Specific Requirements

  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplish staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
  • Complete operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing new procedures.
  • Control expenses by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; monitoring variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or Management Preferred
  • 3 to 6 years supervisory experience
  • 2 years of remote associate supervisory experience preferred.
