As a(n) VP, Operations - Hospice you will: 

An Exciting Leadership Opportunity to provide overall direction and guidance to business operations with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability. 

A Progressive Individual who creates a positive work environment that values its employees and their training and professional development and promotes teamwork.

A Senior Leadership Team Member responsible for managing client relationships and foster care programs.

Position Overview

  • Oversees the operations and participates in strategic planning meetings to develop objectives of hospice operations. 
  • Responsible for the financial performance of individual programs.
  • Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures of Hospice programs.
  • Acquires profitable new business and expands existing business within the assigned geographic area. Participates in the sales process for the acquisition of new business. Coordinates the development of proposals and contracts. Prepares and conducts presentations to prospective clients.
  • Implements program core growth strategy to maintain or increase census, maximizes utilization and occupancy percentages and assists with new start development as appropriate.
  • Maintains and fosters relations with case managers and referral agents.
  • Oversees program quality enhancement and develops individual program plans and licensing requirements. 
  • Maintains program compliance to ensure the programs meet internal and external regulations.
  • Oversees program implementation of health and safety programs for individuals receiving services and employees.
  • Develop trusting relationships with clinical leaders, healthcare executives, community partners, and funders at state and national levels. 
  • Identify new projects, partners, and opportunities to maximize the mission and drive alignment with the organization’s strategic objective. 
  • The ideal candidate lives in the southeastern part of the United States.

Position Requirements

  • Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or clinical specialty.
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience, preferably hospice multi-site management experience.
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare conditions of participation.
  • Ability to travel at least 40% of the time, Southeastern US
